FP&A Analyst
Description
We are looking for a highly analytical and motivated FP&A Analyst with 2–3 years of experience to join our Finance team in the rapidly evolving cannabis industry. In this role, you will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across multiple entities and business lines, helping to drive data-informed decision-making in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing consolidated budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans across multiple cannabis entities
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, operational performance, and regulatory scenarios
- Analyze monthly and quarterly financial performance, providing variance analysis and business insights
- Partner with sales, operations, and compliance teams to gather inputs and understand financial drivers
- Support the costing of cannabis products, including tracking and analyzing costs across the supply chain
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to evaluate cost drivers, inventory levels, and margins
- Monitor key metrics including gross margin, SG&A, cash flow, and working capital
- Assist with financial reporting for both internal stakeholders and external investors/lenders
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems, planning tools, and data accuracy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related financial roles; experience in a regulated or multi-entity environment is a plus
- Strong Excel modeling skills; experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, Power BI) is preferred
- Effective communication and business partnering skills across cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-changing industry
Preferred:
- Experience in the cannabis industry or another highly regulated sector (e.g., pharma, alcohol, tobacco)
- Familiarity with Canadian cannabis regulations, excise duties, and CRA reporting requirements
- CPA, CFA, or MBA (completed or in progress) is considered an asset
Compensation
$90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
